is the study and training of the body’s bio-electrical system, which has
existed in China for thousands of years. |

Starting
with Yi Jing (book of changes) which is thought to be at least 5000 years
old, Qigong has developed over the centuries incorporating yogic practices
brought to China by the Buddhist monk Da Mo (Bodhidarma) leading to the
development of many styles of Qigong including Taijiquan. |
| Taiji Qigong is classified
as a style of soft Qigong which specialises in relaxed movement to enable
the body’s energy to circulate smoothly, healing injuries and giving many
health benefits including reduced stress, a stronger immune system and elevating
many illnesses. |

Taijiquan or Tai Chi
as it is generally known today, was created in the Daoist monastery of the
Wudang Mountain in central China nearly 1000 years ago. Central to the Daoist
philosophy is the cultivation of physical health and spiritual development,
